About the Role

n

We are seeking a qualified and experienced health and safety advisor to join our Health, Safety and Wellbeing team at Grampians Health! You willprovide high-quality support and advice to operational directorates on development and implementation of safe work systems and process to enable positive health and safety outcomes. With excellent communication skills you willwork with managers and employees at all levels of the organisation to complete onsite assessments, education and training; and to promote and instil a proactive and positive safety culture.

- Provide direct support, information and advice to HSW committees, Nominated Management Representatives and Health and Safety Representatives
n
- Provide subject matter expertise to areas of the organisation and to the HSW team to improve outcomes
n
- Maintain oversight of HSW incidents and understand their relationship to corporate and directorate HSW risk registers
n
- Deliver training, education and information session within subject matter expertise for staff and volunteers across Grampians Health
n
- Contribute to the development of HSW documents to continuously improve the health and safety management system and its operational understanding
n
- Develop detailed reports, including risk assessment reports, to inform decision making
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) or related discipline and/or substantial experience within the health and safety profession.
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent and/or experience in designing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating training programs/tools.
n
- Demonstrated experience in initiating and managing safety projects
n




- Experience in workplace safety and incident investigation
n
- An ability to apply the general principles of identification and control of hazards across multidisciplinary setting and advise stakeholders of obligations
n
