Job Description

n
- Own and evolve the multi-brand design system across HomeMade and Mable
n
- Make decisions on the system's structure, priority, and direction
n
- Design and maintain design tokens, components, and patterns across both brands and web and mobile
n
- Establish and evolve the design system's connection to AI tooling, including Claude and Claude Code
n
- Audit component usage, identify inconsistencies, and drive consolidation
n
- Write documentation and usage guidelines for designers and engineers
n
- Partner with engineers to keep design and code in sync and ensure components are implemented and quality checked
n
- Set and uphold design system governance
n
- Lead the cross-functional Design System Guild
n
- Champion accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA standards
n
- Advocate for the design system across the organisation and support designers in using and contributing to it
n
- Continuously improve the system using feedback, usage data, and AI-assisted workflow insights
n
- Work with product designers across HomeMade and Mable, engineering teams, and the AI platform team
n
- Participate in the Customer Experience team with support from design managers and product designers
n

Requirements

n

n
- 8+ years as a product designer, with 4-5+ years specifically owning or heavily shaping a design system
n
- Portfolio demonstrating solid systems thinking, reusable components, and systems across multiple products
n
- Advanced Figma skills, including component libraries, variants, variables, and design tokens
n
- Experience working with a multi-brand or multi-product design system
n




- Practical experience using AI tools like Claude in a design workflow
n
- Curiosity about how design systems and AI tooling should work together
n
- Strong collaboration experience with engineering, including getting components built and shipped
n
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards and practical application
n
- Clear written communication for documenting decisions and guidelines
n
- Confidence making and owning system-level decisions
n
- Demonstrated autonomy in setting direction and making system-level decisions
n
