The Opportunity

We're on the hunt for a Venue Manager who's eager to sink their teeth into an exciting project with great opportunities for development. This is a stable business, well-supported by locals, and we need someone who can be a pivotal part of its success. You'll lead from the front, driving our amazing culture, nurturing your team, and ensuring operational excellence.

This isn't an office job – you'll be an integral part of the day-to-day operations, getting hands-on and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You'll work closely with the owners on budget reports, marketing, events, and all things hospitality.

Key Responsibilities You'll Own

- Lead and Inspire: Take charge of leading, training, organising, onboarding, offboarding, and developing your superstar team.

- Financial Wizardry:



Apply your sound knowledge of financial control, including COGS & wages, purchasing, stock security, and inventory levels to achieve targets.

- Operational Excellence: Improve and maintain operations by implementing standard operating procedures and fostering team accountability, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing, and continuously optimising service standards and customer experience.

- Event Master: Showcase your flair for event and function management, overseeing the successful execution of all events from concept to completion, and actively seeking new opportunities to drive event revenue.

- Strategic Growth: Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives to ensure continued high growth for the venue.

- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

- Customer & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and local community organizations, ensuring our venue remains a beloved community hub.

What You'll Bring to the Table

You're an extremely motivated hospitality professional who loves food, drinks, and delivering unforgettable venue experiences. You believe you are a great leader and have successfully grown and trained high-performing teams in the past.

We're looking for someone with:

- 3+ years of proven experience as a Restaurant or Venue Manager in a large, busy venue.

- A true love and passion for functions and events.

- The ability to thrive in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.

- Outstanding communication (written & verbal), time management, and organisational skills.

- Impeccable attention to detail and a creative, open mind.

- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate diverse tasks.

- A friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude at all times.

- Exceptional customer service and presentation skills.

- The technical skills to get the job done!

- Availability to work nights and weekends when required.
