What Makes this Role Exciting
The primary role of a TAFE SA Lecturer is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment,
and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. Lecturers may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.
Are You the One?
- Proven fabrication and welding industry experience with minimum 5 years post-trade qualification experience and current industry currency
- Sound knowledge of the MEM Training Package, current fabrication industry trends, continuous improvement practices, and underpinning technical knowledge
- Strong practical expertise in MIG, TIG, Arc and Gas Welding, fabrication, workshop practices, and heavy fabrication environments
- Trade qualified to at least Certificate III, with Certificate IV qualifications viewed favourably
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) or higher and demonstrated experience delivering adult education
- Welding certifications highly regarded, including Welder Certifications and Welding Supervisor Certifications (AS1796, AS2214 and/or ISO 9606-1)
What You Need to Know
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
