The Island, Elizabeth Quay is looking for Duty Managers to join our team. With both full-time and casual positions available, this is a great leadership opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals.

Located in the heart of Perth's CBD, The Island is a vibrant restaurant, pub and events venue, known for great food, drinks, functions and our very own on-site microbrewery.

We're looking for hands-on leaders who enjoy being part of the action, leading a team and creating a great experience for every guest.

The Role

n

As a Duty Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping the venue running smoothly. You'll lead from the floor, support your team and make sure our guests receive exceptional service.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading and supporting the team across restaurant, bar and functions
n
- Overseeing day-to-day venue operations
n
- Bartending, hosting and running food when required
n
- Supporting waitstaff, bar staff and kitchen teams during busy periods
n
- Managing functions, bookings and event operations
n
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
n
- Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and venue operations
n
- Opening and/or closing the venue and completing relevant operational duties
n
- Leading by example and creating a positive,



energetic team environment
n

This is a hands-on Duty Manager position. You'll be visible on the floor, working alongside your team and jumping in wherever needed to keep service running at its best.

What We're Looking For

- Experienced in a busy restaurant, pub or bar setting
n
- Confident leading and supporting a hospitality team
n
- Comfortable behind the bar and on the floor
n
- Friendly, professional and confident dealing with guests
n
- Organised and capable of managing bookings, functions and administration
n
- Calm under pressure and able to make good decisions on the spot
n
- Hands-on and willing to get involved wherever needed
n
- Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering great service
n
- Current RSA
n
- Right to work in Australia
