Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day. About the Role

n

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mining Superintendent to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Production team and reporting directly to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Coordinating resources to deliver safe and efficient production targets by optimising and implementing mine plans
n
- Providing strong and consistent leadership and direction to your teams and be able to clearly communicate and articulate expectations
n
- Promoting continuous improvement by challenging work practices and encouraging employee participation in new concepts.
n
- Developing and mentoring co-workers to get the best out of them
n
- Maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of company values
n
- Providing technical guidance
n
- Liaise with key personnel and share ideas for overall improvement outcomes
n
- Identify, assess and control workplace hazards
n

About you

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n




- A minimum 7 years' experience in the industry across multiple mining methods including Dragline, Drill and Blast and Truck & Shovel
n
- Contract management experience
n
- Solid interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
n
- Have an extremely high drive to learn and grow your skills to be the best version of yourself.
n
- Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Rolleston
n
- Driving consistent and fair accountability in line with Rolleston's SHMS.
n
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment
n
- Relevant experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
