Senior Business Services and Tax Manager

National accounting and advisory firm with over 200 staff and multiple offices across the Eastern Seaboard.

THE ROLE

n

Report directly to 2 Partners, work on a large portfolio of business clients across a range of industries.

n

Help lead and mentor a team of 15 staff, including 4 offshore who support with lower-level compliance work, freeing up your time for review and advisory.

n

Oversee workflow across the team, ensuring jobs are tracked, prioritised, and delivered on time.

n

Provide advisory input on tax planning, structuring, and transactions.

n

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

n

Contribute to the ongoing development of the team, including coaching offshore and local staff.

YOU

n

CA or CPA qualified, with at least 1 year of experience operating at Senior Manager level in an Australian practice environment.

n

Excellent technical ability across tax compliance and advisory

n

Confident using the Xero platform and comfortable adapting to new technology, including AI tools such as Co-pilot.

n

Proven experience mentoring or coaching junior and offshore staff, with the ability to lead a team of this size effectively.

n

Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities and risks across a diverse client portfolio.

n

A skilled, personable demeanor and strong client-facing communication skills.

n
