About the role

The Archer Hotel is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our management team in North Adelaide. This is a full time position that offers a strategic opportunity to support the overall operations and success of our Pub. As Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, and contributing to the achievement of our business objectives. This role is based on-site at our North Adelaide SA 5006 location.

What you'll be doing

n

Overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

n

Managing customer relations and resolving complaints or concerns with professionalism and tact

n

Supervising and mentoring front-of-house and back-of-house staff to maintain high service standards

n

Assisting with staff scheduling, training and performance management

n

Monitoring financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures

n

Coordinating food and beverage and functions departments to ensure smooth operations

n

Implementing marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase revenue

n

Managing booking systems.

n

Assisting the General Manager with strategic planning and business development initiatives

n

What we're looking for

n

Minimum 2-3years' experience in hospitality management Bar, Club, Restaurants or cafe.

n

Must have your RSA and RP badges

n

Proven track record in a supervisory or assistant management role within a Bar or similar hospitality establishment

n





Strong knowledge of Bar operations, including food and beverage services. (No Pokies Machines)

n

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally

n

Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop team members

n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

n

Financial acumen with experience in budget management and revenue optimisation

n

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required (Friday Saturday and Sundays Day and Nights are a must)

n

First aid or CPR certification is advantageous
