The opportunity:
The Inchcolm is looking for a driven, relationship-first Business Development Manager to lead proactive sales and grow our presence across Brisbane’s corporate, MICE and leisure markets.
This is a genuinely outward-facing role. You’ll be in market building relationships, opening doors, converting opportunities and creating current reasons for clients to choose The Inchcolm. Working closely with the General Manager and wider commercial team, you’ll own a strong pipeline of new business and help grow The Inchcolm’s share of Brisbane’s competitive boutique hotel market.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead proactive sales for the hotel, including sales calls, site inspections and face-to-face client meetings
- Partner with the General Manager on strategic account development and new business opportunities
- Convert MICE and room night leads, winning business from the competition through confident client engagement
- Build a strong pipeline of new corporate room night business and revenue-generating initiatives




- Support national sales with rate tenders, keeping accurate records of business won, lost and pending
- Review monthly P&L; with the General Manager, reporting on performance, risks and opportunities
- Track market mix, pricing and competitor movements to keep the Inchcolm ahead
- Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, meeting planners and industry stakeholders
- Represent The Inchcolm Hotel in the local business community, building a network that drives new opportunities
- Keep iVvy fully up to date, so all client activity is tracked and visible to the team
- Work with the Conference & Events Coordinator to ensure a seamless handover from conversion through to delivery

What you'll bring:

- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, ideally with an existing network across Brisbane's corporate and MICE market
- A confident, proactive approach to new business development, and a genuine drive to seek out and win new leads
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable working with P&L; reports, forecasts, budgets and revenue targets
- Excellent relationship building skills across every level, from General Manager through to key clients and stakeholders
- Confidence with CRM and sales systems, ideally iVvy and Power BI
