Job Description

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop / Yard Supervisor to join a well-established equipment hire business servicing Melbourne and surrounding areas.

This is a hands‐on leadership role overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop and yard, ensuring a fleet of earthmoving and construction equipment is serviced, maintained, clean and ready for hire.

The Role

- Lead and supervise the workshop and yard team
n
- Allocate daily workloads and manage priorities
n
- Coordinate servicing, maintenance and repairs
n
- Ensure equipment is hire‐ready and professionally presented
n
- Oversee pre‐hire and return inspections
n
- Manage equipment movements, attachments and accessories
n
- Monitor downtime and prioritise urgent repairs
n
- Work closely with Hire, Transport and Operations teams
n
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop and yard
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone with:

n

- Experience in earthmoving, plant or construction equipment
n
- Previous supervisory/team leadership experience
n
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical problem‐solving skills
n
- Experience coordinating equipment servicing and repairs
n
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
n
- A hands‐on approach and strong work ethic
n
- A robust focus on safety
n

Essential:

n

- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Forklift Licence
n
- Relevant plant/equipment tickets highly regarded
n
