We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Eagle Farm. If you're a qualified CA or CPA professional with a strong technical accounting background looking for a role that combines group statutory reporting, consolidation and business partnering at the executive level within a large and diverse organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you'll be the technical accounting authority within the SunPork finance function, playing a key role in delivering group statutory reporting and the external audit, and applying Australian Accounting Standards across the Group.
n This is a senior, hands-on role offering genuine variety and impact within a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to manage competing priorities across a complex, multi-entity group while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You'll lead the Group's month-end close and consolidation, oversee capital expenditure and asset accounting, and act as the go-to technical reference for the finance team and broader business on new and amended accounting standards.
n You'll also partner with business unit GMs and external advisors on complex, group-level matters, contribute to the Group's tax compliance obligations, support treasury reporting on banking covenants, and help mentor and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage the Group's month-end close and consolidation process, including reviewing key journals, accruals, intercompany eliminations and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
- Provide oversight of capital expenditure governance and project accounting, including WIP, capitalisation policies, helpful lives and impairment testing.
n
- Prepare, review and deliver consolidated statutory financial statements in compliance with AASB, IFRS and the Corporations Act 2001.
n
- Maintain and test internal controls over financial reporting,
keep the Group accounting policy manual current, and identify system, automation and process improvements.
n
- Assist the FP&A; team with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts at a Group level.
n
- Liaise with external auditors and assist with planning, delivery and close-out of year-end audits, including negotiating audit positions and resolving technical matters.
n
- Partner with business unit GMs and external advisors (auditors, tax, banking, insurance) on various matters, presenting financial information clearly.
n
- Prepare and review the Group's tax compliance obligations, including BAS, FBT and payroll tax, and partner with external advisors on income tax, transfer pricing and tax effect accounting.
n
- Act as the technical accounting reference point for the business, leading the assessment and implementation of new and amended Australian Accounting Standards.
n
- Monitor and report on banking covenants and debt compliance.
n
- Mentor and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.

About You
n
You'll be a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering across the business and with executive leadership while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
n
To be successful, you'll have:
n
n
- CA ANZ or CPA Australia membership (or equivalent), with ongoing CPD compliance.
n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance (or an equivalent qualification recognised by CA ANZ or CPA Australia).
n
- Minimum five years' experience in group financial reporting, consolidations and external audit delivery, Big 4/mid-tier audit experience combined with a senior commercial role is highly regarded.
n
- Strong technical command of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), IFRS and Corporations Act 2001 reporting requirements, including AASB 15, AASB 16, AASB 9 and AASB 141 Agriculture.
n
- Working knowledge of Australian tax legislation, including income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax and superannuation guarantee.
n
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics F&O;, Pronto or NetSuite).
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence at executive level.
n
- Proven ability to scope, lead and deliver finance projects, managing competing priorities and stakeholders across the business.
