Join Green by Nature as an Apprentice Horticulturist and gain the skills, qualifications and experience needed to thrive in the horticulture industry. Working on a prestigious North Sydney campus with expansive grounds and iconic green spaces, you'll learn from experienced professionals while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.

Over four years, you'll develop practical skills across garden maintenance, plant care, irrigation, turf management and landscape presentation, all while earning and learning on the job.

Upon completing your apprenticeship, you'll be well-positioned for future opportunities within Green by Nature, including pathways into leadership and specialist horticultural roles.

What You'll Learn

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll gain experience in:

- Plant identification, care and maintenance

- Garden establishment and landscape presentation

- Plant nutrition and soil health management
n
- Irrigation installation and maintenance
n
- Pest, weed and disease management
n
- Pruning, transplanting, mulching and mowing operations

- Safe use of horticultural equipment and tools
n
- Turf and grounds maintenance practices

About You

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
- Has a genuine interest in horticulture and working outdoors
n
- Enjoys hands-on work and learning recent skills
n
- Takes pride in their work and has a positive attitude
n
- Is reliable, motivated and eager to build a long-term career
n
- Holds or is willing to obtain a Working With Children Check
n
- Holds or is willing to obtain a White Card
n
- Holds a driver's licence (desirable but not essential)
n

No previous experience is required. If you're willing to learn and ready to put in the effort, we'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.
