As a Business Performance Analyst , you'll play a critical role in supporting the financial performance of The Wesley Hospital, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital and Corporate Hospital functions during a significant period of finance transformation. Working closely with operational leaders and finance stakeholders, you'll deliver performance insights, forecasting, business case support and decision-making analysis that helps drive sustainable outcomes across our hospital network.

Please note, this position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with flexible work arrangements available subject to operational requirements.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:
n
n
- Partner with hospital leaders and finance stakeholders to provide proactive financial advice, analysis and reporting that supports informed business decisions.
n
- Deliver month-end performance analysis, identifying key drivers, risks, opportunities and practical actions to improve financial outcomes.
n
- Translate complex financial and operational data into explicit, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
n
- Support budgeting, forecasting and planning activities, ensuring assumptions are evidence-based, robust and aligned to business objectives.
n
- Assist with the delivery of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) activities, including validation, testing, reconciliations and transition support.
n
- Prepare business cases, investment analysis and financial modelling to support service improvements and strategic initiatives
n
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes, including reconciliations, journals, reporting and governance requirements.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting,
processes and financial controls while contributing to ongoing finance transformation initiatives.

What makes a difference for us?
n
n
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
n
- Demonstrated experience in management accounting, business performance analysis or finance business partnering within a complex organisation.
n
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial controls and performance analysis.
n
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and provide meaningful business insights.
n
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with enterprise finance, planning or business intelligence systems.
n
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
n
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards) will be highly regarded, as will experience in healthcare, hospitals, SAP, Power BI or EPM platforms.
n
