About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Grounds Maintenance team member to assist with the maintenance, cleaning, repairs and minor construction at Aitken College located in Greenvale.

This varied outdoor role will see you working across playgrounds, park furniture, fencing and other public assets to ensure they remain secure, functional and well presented.

Responsibilities

- Carry out maintenance, repairs and minor construction works across playgrounds, park furniture and fencing.
- Complete repairs, painting and staining of park furniture and other assets.
- Undertake routine cleaning and pressure washing of park furniture, showers, drinking fountains and surrounding areas.
- Remove graffiti from Council assets and public spaces.
- Perform general handyman and minor repair works as required.
- Inspect assets and identify damage, hazards or maintenance requirements.
- Safely operate hand and power tools required to complete maintenance activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and work practices to ensure a safe environment for yourself, your team and the public.

About You

- Previous experience in asset maintenance, handyman work, parks maintenance,



construction or a similar hands-on role will be highly regarded.
- Experience completing minor repairs, painting, staining and general maintenance works.
- Confident using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- A practical approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
