Senior Governance Officer – Full Time

- Salary: $103,975 to $110,289 per annum.
- Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)

This role is at the forefront of Council’s decision-making processes. As a Senior Governance Officer you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a small team of Governance professionals, while delivering high-level governance and administrative support across Council and Committee Meetings. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone with governance experience, a keen eye for detail, and the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced workplace.

Attendance at evening Council and Committee meetings is required as part of this role.

To be considered for this position, applicants are required to submit a covering letter (maximum two pages) addressing their experience in the following areas:

- Knowledge of administrative and formal meeting procedures, including detailed understanding of agenda and minute preparation.
- Demonstrated experience providing leadership,



coaching and effective people management.
- Experience coordinating and managing the workload of a team.
- Proven ability to prepare high-quality, accurate written documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- High-level computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in working in a busy environment with competing deadlines.
- Knowledge of local government statutory procedures, services and decision-making frameworks (Desirable).

Appointment is subject to provision of a satisfactory National Police Certificate that is no more than three months old.
