What's the role? We are seeking an energetic, digitally savvy Entertainment Reporter to join our Brisbane newsroom.

Key Responsibilities

- Break exclusive entertainment stories, celebrity interviews and gossip from across Queensland to drive reader engagement.
- Report on-the-ground at events, producing fast and accurate breaking news for our digital platforms.
- Package stories using digital tools (graphics, videos and interactive formats) to reach and retain readers.
- Build and maintain strong contacts across the entertainment industry.

Who are you?

An experienced journalist who can generate your own stories. Have an extensive network of contacts and expertise in the entertainment industry. Skilled at digital media including creating short-form video and content tailored to Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms. Strong writing, editing and communication skills; capable of working independently and with the broader team. Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
