About the Role
n
The Occupational Therapy Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is committed to delivering outstanding patient care. The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist plays a key role in providing high-quality care through strong clinical skills, effective communication, and active participation within a multidisciplinary team. This role involves assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for patients with a wide range of medical conditions and is supported by a Grade 4 Clinical Leader, senior clinicians, the OT Research Leader, and the OT Manager.

The Occupational Therapy team consists of more than 100 staff working across the City and Royal Park campuses in acute, sub-acute, and community-based services spanning a variety of specialties. As part of the broader Allied Health service, the team fosters a cooperative and supportive environment that encourages ongoing professional development and career growth.

Key Accountabilities
n
n
- Join a supportive Occupational Therapy team across acute, sub-acute and community settings.
n
- Deliver evidence-based,
patient-centred care including assessment, intervention and discharge planning.
n
- Support and educate junior Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants.
n
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and external services.
n
- Contribute to clinical, research, education and leadership opportunities across Allied Health.
n

About You
n
n
- Occupational Therapy experience within a hospital or healthcare setting, with a collaborative approach to practice.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
n
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
n
- Enjoy working collaboratively with Occupational Therapy colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
n
