About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Haematology Clinical Trial Coordinators to join the Haematology Clinical Research Centre (HCRC) at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. Working under the guidance of the Unit Manager, Clinical Haematologists and Tumour Stream Leads, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of complex international clinical trials for patients with haematological conditions. This role offers the prospect to work across a portfolio of commercially sponsored and investigator-initiated early-phase clinical trials, including First-in-Human (FIH), Phase 1A/1B and Phase 2A/2B studies. As a Clinical Trial Coordinator, you will play an integral role in ensuring trials are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with study protocols, regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP), while supporting high-quality care for patients participating in clinical research.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and managing a portfolio of complex international haematology clinical trials
- Managing early-phase studies, including First-in-Human, Phase 1A/1B and Phase 2A/2B clinical trials
- Coordinating participant activity and ensuring adherence to clinical trial protocols
- Working collaboratively with Clinical Haematologists, Tumour Stream Leads, research staff and multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Ensuring trial activities are conducted in accordance with study protocols, regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice
- Maintaining accurate, complete and timely clinical trial documentation and data
- Preparing trial data and documentation for onsite and remote monitoring visits
- Managing and resolving clinical trial data queries in a timely manner
- Liaising with pharmaceutical sponsors, monitors and other internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to the safe and effective delivery of clinical research within the Haematology Clinical Research Centre
Classification: Health Information Manager Grade 2, JA7-JB1 ($88,467 - $101,691 per annum).
Your Contribution
You are an organised and experienced clinical trials professional with a strong understanding of complex clinical research and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and research outcomes.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Biomedical Science, Applied Science, or another relevant Allied Health or health-related discipline
- A minimum of two years' experience in clinical trial coordination
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex international haematology clinical trials
- Experience with early-phase clinical trials, including Phase 1A/1B and/or Phase 2A/2B studies
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial protocols, regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple trials and competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate clinical trial data and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary research and clinical team
- A current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain one

About the Haematology Clinical Research Centre
The Haematology Clinical Research Centre (HCRC) at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne coordinates and supports clinical trials for patients with a range of haematological conditions. The HCRC delivers a diverse portfolio of clinical research, including complex international and early-phase studies, providing patients with access to emerging therapies and innovative treatment options. Clinical treatment for patients participating in haematology trials is delivered across the Cancer Centre Chemotherapy Day Unit and inpatient services, with the HCRC working closely alongside Haematologists, nursing, pharmacy and multidisciplinary clinical teams to provide coordinated, high-quality research and patient care.
