Sante Recruitment is proud to present an exciting chance for an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM) one of Victoria's largest regional health services.

This role offers the chance to work in a high-acuity Emergency Department, lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the ongoing development of a regional trauma service.

About The Role

n

n
- Provide high-quality specialist emergency medical care in a busy regional ED
n
- Deliver clinical leadership during shifts to ensure optimal patient outcomes
n
- Supervise and mentor Registrars, Junior Medical Officers, and medical students
n
- Collaborate with other GV Health specialists and support out-of-hours coverage (including weekends)
n
- Contribute to **strategic planning, service development, and quality improvement** at GV Health
n

**Emergency Department Facilities**

GV Health's modern **36-bed Emergency Department** includes:

- Designated **regional trauma service** with a diverse and high-acuity case mix
n
- 3 state-of-the-art resuscitation bays
n
- 2 negative pressure isolation cubicles
n
- 13 acute care cubicles
n
- Dedicated **Fast Track area** with 7 cubicles and consult room
n
- 9-bed Short Stay Unit (including isolation room)
n
- Onsite **CT, ultrasound, and X-ray facilities**
n
- Behavioural Assessment Room, mental health consult rooms, and forensic suite
n

**Requirements**

n

n
- Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine
n
- Current Specialist Registration with AHPRA
n
- Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and supervision experience
n
- Commitment to delivering best practice, patient-centred emergency care
n
- Work in a progressive, growing regional trauma service
n
- Teaching hospital with strong links to medical education and training
