Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, systems-focused Back Office Support Officer to join our team. This is a hands-on operational role responsible for the accurate execution and enforcement of key store systems and processes that keep daily operations running smoothly and protect gross margins.

The Role

n

You will own the day-to-day management of critical back-office systems and processes across the store, including:

n

Ordering & Receiving

n

Stocktake & Inventory Control (high QOH accuracy focus)

n

Pricing, Labels, Promotions & Offers

n

Scale & POS integrations and location settings

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

Ensuring full store-wide adherence to company IT systems, policies and procedures through regular checks and enforcement

n

Strictly enforcing pricing policies to protect and maintain gross margins, including margin exception reporting and corrective action

n

Ensuring all labelling meets regulatory and company standards

n

Continuously reviewing and improving system processes so they are simpler and more efficient for checkout operators and fresh food teams

n

Providing practical store support when needed (covering breaks, assisting during peak periods, banking, phone support, accepting deliveries)

n





Maintaining accurate and timely information flow between departments, store management and head office

n

Proactively identifying, resolving or escalating system faults to minimise disruption

n

Acting as an active member of the store leadership group and contributing process improvement ideas

n

What We're Looking For

n

A strong application will demonstrate either:

n

Relevant experience in retail, supermarket or fresh food operations with systems responsibility, or

n

Clear transferable skills from another workplace where you have managed systems, data accuracy, process compliance or inventory/pricing controls.

n

You will be organised, accurate, proactive and comfortable working hands-on across both systems and the store floor. Experience with POS, scales, inventory systems or online ordering portals will be highly regarded.
