We are seeking a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our growing team, with opportunities available in both Brisbane and Sydney.

The Role

n

In this role, you will lead fire engineering projects from concept through to completion and contributing to the ongoing growth of the team.

n

You will work with a high level of autonomy, collaborating closely with Directors and project teams to deliver high-quality, performance-based fire engineering solutions.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Leading the delivery of fire engineering projects across a diverse range of sectors
n
- Preparing and reviewing performance-based design documentation
n
- Undertaking fire engineering analysis including smoke modelling, egress modelling, and risk assessments
n
- Managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality expectations
n
- Engaging with clients, design teams, certifiers, and authorities to support approvals and design outcomes
n
- Attending design meetings, workshops, and site inspections
n




- Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers
n
- Contributing to proposals, project planning, and commercial outcomes
n
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining technical excellence across the team
n

About You

n

We are looking for a motivated and experienced fire engineer who is confident leading projects and contributing to a high-performing team.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- A degree in Fire Safety, Mechanical, Structural, or related engineering discipline
n
- Ideally a Master of Fire Safety Engineering (or similar)
n
- Minimum 4+ years' experience in fire engineering, preferably within a consulting environment
n
- Strong experience in performance-based fire engineering (Classes 2–9 buildings)
n
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
n
- Experience with fire engineering software such as FDS, Pathfinder, or similar CFD tools
n
- Solid understanding of the NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and regulatory frameworks
n
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
n
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities
n
- Working toward or holding CPEng (or equivalent) is highly regarded
n
