- Estimated Annual Salary Range: $90,235.60 to $103,724.40.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
n
The Medical Imaging Department, offers X-ray, OPG (dental x-rays), CT scans and ultrasound examinations. Our ultrasound service covers a broad range of disciplines which includes:
n

- Obstetric
n
- Gynaecologic
n
- Musculoskeletal
n
- General Ultrasound
n
n
Our imaging systems in Nhill are electronically linked to specialised radiologists based in Ballarat who supply prompt reports of all imaging results to all referrers.
n
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
n
Essential:
n
n
- Current Certificate of Registration to practice from the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, via the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
n
- Hold a current Use Licence from Radiation Safety,
Victoria issued by the Department of Health.
n
- Current registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry.
n
- At least 4 years' experience with experience in several examination types.
n
n
Desirable:
n
n
- Active involvement in on-going professional development and/or involvement in the Australian Society of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy or equivalent CPD program and using the WWHS quality program.
n
n
PRE-REQUISITES:
n
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
n
- Working with Children Check.
n
- Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health directives.
n
- Australian Driver's Licence.
n
n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
n
n
- Perform radiographic examinations in line with professional standards, departmental policy and the Code of Ethics of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
n
- Support and guide undergraduate and MIT clinical practice to ensure secure, compliant radiographic care.
n
- Complete examination-related clerical and statistical requirements accurately and promptly.
n
- Maintain the provision of an optimal safe environment protecting patients and staff from the dangers of radiation exposure and other hazard.
n
