Join a growing national healthcare and community services provider delivering in-home aged care, disability support, nursing and other healthcare services. This is a senior client-side leadership role with direct accountability for the organisation’s in-home care operations across NSW.
Reporting to the COO, you’ll lead operational performance, workforce capability, service quality, compliance and continuous improvement across a large state-based portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational performance and governance of in-home care services across NSW
- Translate organisational strategy into clear priorities, operating plans and measurable outcomes
- Oversee service delivery across multiple care programs, locations and dispersed frontline teams
- Ensure services align with individual care plans, funding arrangements and client needs
- Direct workforce deployment to maintain the right skill mix, geographic coverage and continuity of care
- Lead Team Leaders and frontline employees, building capability, engagement and accountability
- Oversee client onboarding, service transitions and changes while maintaining continuity of care
- Improve care delivery models, workforce planning, scheduling and travel optimisation
- Monitor service hours, workforce utilisation, travel efficiency, financial performance and client outcomes
- Standardise operational practices and workflows to improve quality, consistency and scalability
- Ensure compliance with relevant aged care, disability, quality and safety requirements
- Oversee incidents, complaints and safeguarding matters, including investigations and corrective actions
- Maintain audit readiness and proactively manage operational, workforce and client risks
- Use data and reporting to identify trends and improve operational performance
- Leverage technology,
AI and automation to improve efficiency and modernise service delivery
- Contribute to business planning, governance, policy development and broader strategic priorities
Skills & Experience
- Extensive senior operational leadership experience across a large, complex and geographically dispersed service portfolio
- Strong experience in in-home care, aged care, disability, community services or a closely related regulated environment
- Demonstrated success leading large multidisciplinary teams through operational leaders and Team Leaders
- Deep understanding of person-centred service delivery, workforce management, quality, safeguarding and compliance
- Experience managing operational and financial performance, including budgets, workforce costs, funding arrangements and service sustainability
- Robust workforce planning, scheduling, utilisation and resource optimisation capability
- Proven ability to improve operating models, systems and processes across growing or changing organisations
- Experience managing incidents, complaints, operational risk and regulatory obligations
- Strong commercial judgement, balancing client outcomes, service quality, workforce requirements and financial performance
- Confidence using data and operational reporting to identify risks and guide decisions
- Highly developed communication, stakeholder management and change leadership skills
- Tertiary qualifications in disability, community services, social work or a related field
- Ability to meet relevant screening, credentialling and compliance requirements
