We are seeking a Social Support Assistantto work in a part time(48 hours/fortnight)capacity based at Nhill.

- Health and Allied Services Managers & Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2025-2027.

- Estimated Annual Salary Range: $35,000 to $45,000.

ABOUT THE ROLE

n

n
- Social Support Assistant is responsible for planning and organisation of group sessions and assist in the effective daily operation of the Social Support Group programs and activities/outings.
n

n

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

n

Essential:

n

n
- Have effective communication and organisational skills.
n
- Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
n
- Competence using computer programs including Microsoft Office Software, Outlook and other databases relevant to the practice area, and willingness to learn any other relevant programs
n

n

Desirable:

n

n




- Qualification and/or previous experience in roles such as an Activity Supervisor, Nurse, Personal Care Worker, or Allied Health Assistant, would be desirable.
n

n

PRE-REQUISITES:

n

n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
n
- Working with Children Check.
n
- Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
n
- Australian Driver's License.
n

n

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

n

n
- To support Social Support group members and assist in delivering quality services for Social Support Group sessions, activities and outings, whilst adhering to the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) & Home and Community Care (HACC) guidelines.
n
- To provide care and supervision to clients in line with the promotion of an independent living environment.
n
- To adhere to philosophies and policies of West Wimmera Health Service and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
