The Role
We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture team based at Skygate, Brisbane Airport. This is a hands‑on recruitment role with a strong focus on BAU operational recruitment, supporting our growing business across Queensland, NSW and Victoria. You'll partner closely with hiring managers to deliver quality talent solutions for high‑volume and specialist blue‑collar roles, while managing agency relationships and driving best‑practice recruitment outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the business, understands operational environments, and can successfully recruit for roles where safety, reliability and culture fit are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment across a broad portfolio of blue‑collar and operational roles.
- White collar recruitment as required.
- Recruit for positions including drivers, quarry operators, batchers, plant operators, tradespeople, supervisors and other site‑based personnel.
- Partner with leaders to understand workforce requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Build talent pipelines for hard‑to‑fill and high‑demand operational positions.
- Manage and coordinate external recruitment agencies, ensuring service quality, compliance and value for money.
- Conduct market mapping and provide talent insights to support workforce planning.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience from attraction through to onboarding.
- Support employment branding and attraction initiatives across operational locations.
- Ensure recruitment activities are compliant with company policies and employment legislation.
- Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes, systems and reporting.
About You
You are a proactive recruiter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with both candidates and stakeholders.
- Experience 3+ years' experience in Talent Acquisition or internal recruitment.
- Proven success recruiting for blue‑collar, transport, manufacturing, logistics, construction, mining, industrial or operational environments.
- Strong experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment processes in a high‑volume environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing and influencing external recruitment agencies.
- Experience building talent pools and proactive sourcing strategies for difficult‑to‑fill operational roles.
