Field Service Technician - Mobile Fitter - Banksmeadow | $53 per hour + Super + Vehicle + Plenty of Overtime
Earn $167K+ per year
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician / Mobile Fitter to join our Banksmeadow team. This is a hands-on field-based role working across heavy plant, trucks, machinery and fixed plant equipment.

About the Role
As a Field Service Technician / Mobile Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting heavy equipment in the field and at customer sites.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on heavy machinery
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Working on trucks, heavy mobile equipment and fixed plant
- Completing mechanical maintenance and servicing
- Performing construction and maintenance tasks
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and identifying root causes
- Working safely and efficiently across different sites and environments
- Completing manual and physically demanding tasks as required
- Communicating effectively with customers, supervisors and other team members
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- A recognised trade qualification
- Relevant High Risk Work Licences
- Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience in the metal, manufacturing, mining or heavy equipment industry
- Proven experience working on trucks, heavy machinery and fixed plant
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance requirements
- Good understanding of the operational characteristics of a variety of heavy equipment
- Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety legislation
- Proven ability to perform skilled construction, mechanical and maintenance tasks
- Ability to confidently undertake a range of manual tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
- A practical, logical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving
- Ability to assess difficult situations, identify causes, evaluate options and implement effective solutions
- A strong safety focus and skilled approach to field service work
