Introduction

A large company in Nagambie is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, customer focused, and reliable full-time Front of house attendant for an immediate start.

n

Duties

n

n
- Welcome, seat, and attend to guests in a courteous and qualified manner.
n
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and assist guests with food and beverage choices.
n
- Take accurate orders and ensure timely service of meals and drinks.
n
- Provide professional wine service, including recommendations, pouring, and matching with menu items.
n
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve service issues.
n
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of menu items, preparation methods, and dietary considerations.
n
- Maintain current knowledge of promotions, specials, and seasonal menus.
n
- Prepare and set tables according to service requirements.
n
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
n
- Process payments using the point of sale (POS) system.
n
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking.
n




- Serve alcohol responsibly in line with the RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) requirements.
n
- Follow food handling, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.
n
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, cutlery, glassware, and dining equipment.
n
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
n
- Assist in training and guiding junior waitstaff or food & beverage attendants.
n
- Support supervisors in busy service periods and events.
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Minimum a relevant qualification in Hospitality or a related field (A Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Hospitality, or Restaurant Management is highly desirable)
n
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Waiter/Waitress is required.
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
n
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude at all times.
n
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
n
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including taking orders and serving customers accurately.
n
- A strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front of house staff.
