About the Role

QT Newcastle is looking for a Director of Sales who doesn't just chase revenue they create the buzz that drives it. Leading our social strategy, you'll turn our F&B; outlets into the go to place to hold an event, while maintaining key relationships with our corporate accounts. If you love bringing an event to life and delivering a guest experience that they never forget, then this is the role for you.

What You'll Bring

- 2-3 years in a senior sales role within hotels or event companies, with an understanding of the Newcastle market.
- Proven leadership experience managing and motivating a small team with a focus on coaching and development.
- Strong track record in delivering results through strategic planning and achieving ambitious revenue goals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage corporate and social accounts, ensuring growth and retention.




- Expertise in planning and organising resources to meet deadlines and optimise performance in a fast-paced workplace.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to identify new business opportunities, manage risk, and maximise profitability.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders, negotiate outcomes, and gain buy-in.
- Solid experience driving social events into hotels and dynamic in selling the restaurant and rooftop spaces.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a sales strategy that drives market share growth and commercial outcomes, ensuring all activity is accurately recorded in the CRM.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team, keeping them informed on goals, performance, and celebrating successes.
- Manage tactical sales plans to maximise revenue, anticipating business peaks and troughs with a strong focus on rate and occupancy.
- Collaborate with marketing, loyalty, and digital teams to identify new revenue opportunities and innovative packages.
- Influence stakeholders and resolve challenges through persuasive communication, negotiation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
