Senior Accountant

n About the role
n We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Projects Finance team based in Southbank, Melbourne. This is a permanent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a project environment and enjoys partnering with operational teams to deliver strong financial outcomes.
n Working closely with project managers and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for project financial reporting, billing, claims, cost control, month-end activities and stakeholder management. This role would suit someone who can confidently navigate complex conversations, challenge where required and build strong working relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage project financial reporting, forecasting, budget monitoring and month-end close activities.
n
- Coordinate billing, claims, invoicing and revenue recognition activities to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
n
- Analyse project performance, cost centres, margins and project costs, providing meaningful insights to stakeholders.
n
- Partner with project managers and operational leaders to manage expectations, resolve issues and support commercial decision-making.
n
- Maintain project financial data within SAP and ensure compliance with contractual and reporting requirements.
n

About you
n
n
- CA or CPA qualified.
n
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant, Project Accountant or similar role within a project-based environment.
n
- Strong SAP experience is essential.
n
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate with and manage challenging stakeholder relationships across multiple levels.
n
- Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
