Head of Technology - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Cue is looking for a strategic, commercially minded and hands on Head of Technology to lead our technology function through its next chapter.

n

Reporting directly to our CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this is a senior leadership role with responsibility for technology operations, service delivery, security, infrastructure and digital evolution across the Cue business.

n

You'll lead a small internal team, manage key technology partners and vendors, and work closely with our business leaders to build a more stable, secure and commercially effective technology workplace.

n

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back and manage from a distance. We're looking for someone who can think strategically, challenge the status quo and remain close enough to the detail to make things happen.

What you'll be doing

n

Leading our technology operations

n

You'll take ownership of the day to day technology function, ensuring our systems and services are stable, responsive and supporting the needs of our teams and customers.

n

You'll bring greater structure, prioritisation and accountability to service delivery while partnering closely with stakeholders across the business.

n

You'll also manage our external vendors, MSPs and technology partners to ensure we are getting the right level of service, value and outcomes.

n

Driving security and risk uplift

n

A key focus of this role will be strengthening our technology security, governance and risk environment.

n

You'll identify where the gaps are, prioritise what matters most and lead practical improvements across our systems, processes and technology practices.

n

From reviewing policies and governance through to strengthening business continuity and resilience, you'll help build a more secure and accountable technology environment across Cue.

n

Leading technology projects and modernisation

n

You'll lead and coordinate key technology projects and transformation initiatives across the business.

n

This will include identifying opportunities to modernise systems, integrations and processes, while supporting the continued evolution of our eCommerce and omnichannel capabilities.

n

You'll work across the business to turn ideas into delivery — balancing the bigger picture with the discipline required to actually get things done.

Leading your team and partnering with the business

n





You'll lead and develop a small internal technology team, building capability, accountability and engagement.

n

You'll also become a trusted technology partner to leaders across Retail, eCommerce, Operations, Finance, Merchandise and Marketing, helping translate business needs into practical technology solutions.

n

You'll be the person who brings people together, asks the right questions and helps the business make smarter technology decisions.

n

You'll be great for this role if you have:

n

5+ years' experience in a senior technology leadership role such as Head of Technology, Head of IT or IT Manager

n

Strong experience leading technology operations and service delivery in a fast-paced environment

n

Experience managing external vendors, MSPs, service providers and technology contracts

n

A strong understanding of infrastructure, technology operations, security and compliance

n

Demonstrated experience improving technology environments and leading technology uplift initiatives

n

Experience delivering cross-functional technology or transformation projects

n

The ability to think strategically while still being hands‐on when required

n

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non‐technical audiences

n

Experience developing and improving technology policies, governance and operational processes

n

A background in software development and/or programming, with the ability to lean into technical discussions, systems and integrations when required, would be highly advantageous

n

Experience in retail, fashion or a consumer facing business is desirable but not essential

n
