About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Grounds Maintenance team member to assist with the maintenance, cleaning, repairs and minor construction at Aitken College located in Greenvale .

This varied outdoor role will see you working across playgrounds, park furniture, fencing and other public assets to ensure they remain safe, functional and well presented.

Responsibilities

- Carry out maintenance, repairs and minor construction works across playgrounds, park furniture and fencing.
- Complete repairs, painting and staining of park furniture and other assets.
- Undertake routine cleaning and pressure washing of park furniture, showers, drinking fountains and surrounding areas.
- Remove graffiti from Council assets and public spaces.
- Perform general handyman and minor repair works as required.
- Inspect assets and identify damage, hazards or maintenance requirements.
- Safely operate hand and power tools required to complete maintenance activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and work practices to ensure a safe environment for yourself, your team and the public.

About You

- Previous experience in asset maintenance, handyman work, parks maintenance,



construction or a similar hands-on role will be highly regarded.
- Experience completing minor repairs, painting, staining and general maintenance works.
- Confident using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- A practical approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
