Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Fleet & Maintenance Supervisor to take ownership of our late-model tipper truck fleet (35–50 trucks), based out of our Pimpama depot. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who understands heavy vehicle maintenance, thrives on organisation, and knows how to keep a large fleet — and the people behind it — running smoothly and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

Manage and coordinate servicing schedules for a fleet of 35–50 late model tipper trucks, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal disruption to operations

n

Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, liaising with mechanics, workshops, and external service providers

n

Assist and work with our Operations team on the daily bookings of each truck designed to maximise efficiency

n

Lead driver recruitment — sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified drivers to meet fleet demand

n

Develop and manage staff rosters, balancing operational needs with fatigue management and compliance requirements

n

Coordinate and lead company audits, ensuring the fleet and operations meet regulatory, safety, and internal compliance standards

n

Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records/documentation

n





Build robust working relationships with drivers, workshop staff, and management to support a safe, efficient, and positive workplace culture

n

Identify opportunities to improve fleet reliability, reduce downtime, and control maintenance costs

n

About you

n

Proven experience in fleet maintenance supervision, ideally within heavy vehicle/transport or civil/tipper operations

n

Strong understanding of heavy vehicle servicing schedules, compliance, and maintenance standards

n

Experience with driver recruitment and workforce/roster management

n

Solid knowledge of transport industry audits and compliance requirements (e.g. NHVR/Chain of Responsibility)

n

Excellent organisational and communication skills

n

Ability to lead, problem-solve, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

n

Relevant licences/certifications highly regarded

n
