With a strong focus on personalised service and long-term client relationships, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own portfolio while working closely with an experienced Director and supportive team.

The Role
n
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will gain exposure across a broad range of business services and taxation matters while continuing to develop your technical and client management skills.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
n
- Preparation of BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements
n
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries
n
- Regular day-to-day client communication and relationship management
n
- Assisting with tax planning and business advisory matters
n
- Working with complex multi-entity structures
n
- Exposure to SMSF work
n
- Liaising with senior staff on complex taxation and advisory matters
n
- Building your technical knowledge and progressing towards greater client responsibility
n
n

n
The firm works with a diverse portfolio of predominantly SME clients, with a strong presence in the healthcare sector, including doctors, medical practices and pharmacies.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
- 2-4 years' experience within Australian public practice
n
- Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns
n
- Exposure to companies, trusts, partnerships and SME clients
n
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
n
- Experience using Xero
n
- A genuine interest in developing your career within Business Services and Tax
n
- CPA or CA studies completed or currently underway will be highly regarded
n
