Who are we looking for?

We are currently seeking a highly passionate and enthusiasticCasual Visitor Service Assistantwho will deliver exceptional customer service by providing visitors, members and partners with a positive impression of Scitech through admissions, the Discovery Shop, memberships, online ticketing and after-hours events.

n

This position is offered on a casual basis.

n

In this role you will:

n

n
- Welcome visitors and create a positive first impression of Scitech
n
- Uphold product and exhibit knowledge to assist with visitor queries
n
- Administration of the online ticketing system, monitoring online sales, bookings and centre capacity
n
- Promote the Scitech Memberships and proactively sell Discovery Shop merchandise to help achieve sales targets
n
- Maintaining the galleries to a standard that is clean, tidy and fully stocked
n
- Helping visitors with general information related to their visit,



such as parking, public transport, and nearby amenities
n
- Working as part of a team to set up, pack down and run after-hours events for a variety of audiences, including handling alcohol sales.
n

Who are we looking for?

n

We are seeking an individual who can deliver continuous, passionate and responsive customer service whilst handling visitor complaints to ensure a response and solution is provided or escalated.

n

Other skills and experience required includes:

n

n
- Demonstrated attention to detail in all tasks particularly data entry, document formatting and communication
n
- Continuously displays dedication to personal integrity, accountability, flexibility and collaboration
n
- Experience reconciling cash and electronic transactions (desirable)
n
- Demonstrated customer service experience including customer complaint management (desirable)
n
- Experience in database management including maintaining procedures and evaluating processes (desirable)
n
- Working with Children Checkor ability to obtain one.
n
- National Police Checkor ability to obtain one.
n
- Responsible Service of Alcoholor ability to obtain one
