Your opportunity
Every great housing service relies on trusted information and behind every policy, resident guide, operational procedure and communication is a commitment to helping people access safe, secure housing with confidence. As the Housing Knowledge and Content Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping how knowledge is created, maintained and shared across Mission Australia's Housing Operations. Working across one of Australia's largest community housing providers, you will lead a team responsible for developing clear, accessible and practical operational resources that support staff, residents and stakeholders, ensuring services remain consistent, compliant and focused on positive resident outcomes. As the custodian of operational knowledge, you will oversee the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of procedures, SOPs, guides and other operational resources, ensuring they remain accurate, accessible and aligned to business requirements and service designs. - Drive the development, review and continuous improvement of operational policies, procedures and manuals.
- Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates and knowledge management practices.
- Oversee governance processes including review cycles, version control and document maintenance.

- Improve the organisation,
accessibility and usability of operational knowledge platforms and digital content.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and operational stakeholders to align documentation with business processes.
- Support business improvement, transformation initiatives and operational change through effective knowledge management.
- Build solid relationships across housing, corporate and enabling teams to deliver nationally consistent resources and guidance.
Requirements for success
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, writing, business, public policy, community services or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in documentation, communications, content development or knowledge management environments.
- Strong knowledge of document governance, content management and review processes.
- Proven ability to develop practical, fit-for-purpose resources in partnership with operational teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.

- Experience within community housing, social housing, government or community services settings will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document or knowledge management platforms, including SharePoint.
- Police Check required.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
