About the role

Coast to Coast the Golden Roast Townsville is looking for reliable, enthusiastic and friendly people to join our team as Casual Catering Staff/Cooks.

n

This is a flexible casual role working across a range of events throughout Townsville and North Queensland.

n

No experience is necessary – full training will be provided! We're more interested in your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn than previous hospitality experience.

n

This role is perfect for Uni students looking for flexible work, as well as retired couples, couples and friends looking to work as a team.

n

Your duties will include:

n

- Loading the van and checking the pack sheet to ensure everything is ready
n
- Driving to event sites and assisting with unloading and setup
n
- Preparing meats, vegetables and other food items for roasting
n
- Completing food preparation and getting everything ready for service
n
- Setting up and maintaining the buffet
n
- Clearing plates after mains
n
- Preparing and presenting desserts where required
n
- Packing down after the event and loading the van
n
- Returning equipment and supplies to base
n
- Washing, cleaning and packing away catering equipment
n
- Assisting with general cleaning and other event duties as required
n

- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
n
- Friendly and well-presented
n




- Comfortable working as part of a team
n
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items as required
n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
n
- Good communication skills
n
- Flexible availability, including weekends and occasional evenings
n
- A willingness to learn and follow instructions
n
- Food handling experience or certification is an advantage, but not essential
n

No hospitality or catering experience? No problem! Full training will be provided to the right applicants.
