The Role

Cricket Victoria is seeking a highly organised and proactive Match Operations Officer to join our team. This is a full-time, seasonal fixed-term role expected to commence in mid-September 2026 and run through to 31 March 2027.

Working across our elite cricket programs, you will plan, coordinate and deliver end-to-end match operations and cricket services for domestic and international fixtures. You'll ensure every match is delivered professionally, safely and in line with Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria requirements – from pre-match planning and venue readiness through to match-day coordination and post-match reporting.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can calmly manage competing priorities and takes pride in getting the detail right.

What You'll Be Doing

Cricket Operations

n

n
- Coordinate event briefs, catering, suppliers, venues, equipment and infrastructure for domestic fixtures.
n
- Work with venue contacts and Cricket Australia to ensure match requirements, venue standards and international fixture plans are delivered.
n
- Support the rostering of match-day personnel, including scorers, room attendants and match managers.
n
- Coordinate game-day medical coverage in line with Cricket Australia requirements.
n
- Manage team submissions through PlayHQ and ensure all match equipment, documentation and venue signage are ready for each fixture.
n
- Assist with planning and logistics for Emerging Player and Cricket Performance programs as required.

Match Day Operations

- Conduct venue inspections and oversee match-day readiness,



including equipment, changerooms, dugouts and medical briefings.

- Coordinate match-day communications, team lists, coin toss procedures and required documentation.
n
- Work closely with Match Officials, the Match Referee and Event Manager to support delivery in line with Playing Conditions and Cricket Australia policies.
n
- Manage weather-related procedures, DLS operations and other match-day issues as required.
n
- Ensure scorecards, match reports and associated documentation are completed and uploaded accurately.

You'll bring strong communication and stakeholder management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
