Job Description – Hospitality Supervisor

Reports To: Hospitality, Retail & Lounge Manager

Position Overview

The Hospitality Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the café, Gift Shop and hospitality areas, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, stock control and staff performance. The role provides hands-on supervision of the team while assisting the Hospitality, Retail & Lounge Manager with the productive and professional operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise hospitality staff during daily operations and provide direction and support as required.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards and ensure a welcoming and professional environment.
- Manage stock control, including monitoring stock levels and minimising wastage.
- Place stock orders and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
- Receive deliveries, check stock and assist with putting away new stock.
- Participate in regular stocktakes and investigate stock discrepancies where required.
- Process and check invoices and assist with maintaining accurate purchasing records.
- Liaise with suppliers, sales representatives and other business partners.
- Prepare, serve and sell cocktails, mixed drinks, bottled and canned alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages.




- Prepare a range of espresso-based coffee beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos and other specialty coffees.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety, hygiene and presentation standards.
- Provide operational support and backup to café and hospitality employees during busy periods, staff absences and breaks.
- Assist with staff training, development and maintaining appropriate workplace standards.
- Ensure opening, closing, cleaning and operational procedures are completed correctly.
- Ensure compliance with responsible service of alcohol (RSA), food safety, workplace health and safety and company policies.
- Assist with cash handling, POS operations and end-of-shift procedures where required.
- Respond to operational issues and escalate significant matters to the Hospitality, Retail & Lounge Manager.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
