The base salary for this role is between $75,000 to $80,000

About the Chance

Join our vibrant kitchen team at K’gari Beach Resort on beautiful K'gari. We’re looking for a Cook who is passionate about preparing quality meals, working as part of a supportive team and delivering memorable dining experiences for guests across our resort outlets.

About the Role

The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving general meals for guests in line with menu guidelines, recipes, resort standards and direction from the Head Chef or Sous Chef. You will work across multiple resort outlets, helping maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and safety.

The position is located at K’gari Beach Resort on beautiful K'gari (Fraser Island). K’gari is part of the KBRV Resort Operations Pty Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and serve meals for guests in line with menu guidelines, recipes, resort standards and direction from the Head Chef.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and timely meal delivery across resort outlets.
- Follow safe food handling procedures, including correct storage and temperature control of food items.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety standards within the Kitchen Department.
- Use, clean and care for kitchen equipment and utensils in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock management, stocktakes and estimating food requirements when required.
- Liaise with Food and Beverage Attendants regarding meal completion and service instructions.




- Support apprentices and Kitchen Stewards under direction from the Head Chef.
- Participate in workplace health and safety activities, training, meetings and emergency drills as required.
- Work across resort outlets and split shifts, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, as operationally required.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant qualifications, e.g. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Cook.
- Food Safety Course essential, with Responsible Service of Alcohol desirable.
- Previous experience in a high-volume, multi-outlet resort, hotel or commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and within set guidelines.
- A positive can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, strong presentation standards and a passion for creating quality cuisine.
