Plastfix is seeking a motivated Trainee Plastic Repair Technician to join our team in Prestons, Sydney NSW. This entry-level role offers a structured pathway to learn specialized automotive plastic repair, welding, and refinishing techniques using industry-leading, eco-friendly technology.

The Role

Location: Prestons, NSW (and surrounding Western Sydney automotive sites)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: AUD $66,000–$90,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with preparing automotive plastic components for repair
• Undergo intensive training in plastic welding, reshaping, smoothing, and bumper repairs
• Maintain, clean, and safely operate specialized plastic repair tools and workshop equipment
• Inspect finished components to ensure repairs meet strict company and safety standards
• Travel to various automotive collision centers and dealerships around the Prestons area





What We're Looking For

• Genuine interest in cars, vehicle restoration, or hands-on trade work
• Valid NSW driver's license (Provisional or Open) for mobile site travel
• Strong manual dexterity and keen eye for detail and alignment
• Punctual, reliable, and committed to learning safety and technical guidelines
• No prior automotive experience required—comprehensive training is fully provided
