About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Ward to join the team in a permanent part-time or full-time basis (negotiable). This role will be based in the private ward within Mater Springfield Hospital.
The main specialties we cover are:
- Orthopaedics
- ENT
- Gynaecology
- Urology
- General Surgery
Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
- Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team workplace,
- Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients
About you
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- 12 months postgraduate surgical experience (desirable not essential)
- Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
- Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
- Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
