About the role
CTKP is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Year Apprentice Roof Plumber to join our growing team in Geelong, VIC. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in the plumbing and roofing trades through a full-time apprenticeship programme. You will be working alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your development and will provide you with comprehensive on-the-job training. This role offers the perfect foundation for a long-term career in the skilled trades.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting qualified roof plumbers with the installation, repair and maintenance of roof plumbing systems
- Learning to fit and install guttering, downpipes, flashings and other roof plumbing components
- Carrying out site preparation and material handling tasks under supervision
- Using and maintaining plumbing tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Following health and safety procedures and regulations on all work sites
- Attending block-release training and theory sessions as part of your apprenticeship
- Assisting with site cleaning and ensuring work areas are left tidy and safe
- Building your knowledge of building codes, plumbing standards and best practice techniques
What we're looking for
- A genuine passion for working in the trades and a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A positive attitude and reliability, including punctuality and consistent attendance
- Current or willingness to obtain a valid driver's licence
- A genuine interest in roof plumbing and building trades careers
- Preferably some experience in construction or manual work, though not essential
