Account Manager - Brisbane, QLD - $110,000 + + +

About the Opportunity An exciting prospect exists for an experienced Account Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded supplier servicing the commercial construction, residential, civil, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

This role is suited to a sales professional with a strong background in reinforcing steel, rebar, mesh, steel products or related construction materials who thrives on building long-term customer relationships and driving sustainable growth.

Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, identifying new project opportunities and delivering exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, developers, engineers and key project stakeholders.
- Manage and grow an established portfolio of accounts across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
- Generate and follow up quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
- Work closely with internal estimating, scheduling, production and logistics teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor market activity, upcoming projects and pipeline opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, supply agreements and commercial terms.
- Deliver sales and margin targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client visits, project meetings and site inspections.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

Essential Experience

- Proven experience in Account Management, Business Development or Technical Sales.
- Previous experience within the reinforcing steel, rebar, mesh, steel processing,



structural steel or construction materials industry.
- Strong understanding of the construction supply chain and project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Results-driven approach with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Highly Desirable

- Existing relationships with builders, formworkers, civil contractors, tier-one or tier-two construction companies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, reinforcement schedules or construction documentation.
- Experience supplying reinforcing steel into commercial, residential, civil or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Australian construction and reinforcing steel markets.
