About The Role
As an Independent Living Coach, you will work as part of a team to provide person centred support for older individuals who are preparing to transition from hospital into long-term accommodation or residential aged care placement. This involves facilitating participants to acquire independent living skills and supporting them to reach their potential in the home environment and in the community.
About You
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated team member with demonstrated experience in aged care, a strong work ethic, and the ability to build positive and respectful relationships with participants and team members.
In Addition, You Will Be Able To Demonstrate
- Minimum Certificate III or above in Individual Support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including both short and long shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, sleepovers and public holidays
- Sound computer skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
You will also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid certificate and an NT Drivers Licence.
