Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Provisioning Build, install, configure, patch, and maintain large-scale Linux/Unix server fleets (RHEL, Suse, Oracle Linux) across bare-metal physical servers, VMware vSphere, and Cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

Infrastructure as Code & Automation Develop, optimize, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (modules and workspaces) and configuration management tools like Ansible/Ansible Tower to automate server provisioning, configuration, and compliance patching.

Security & Hardening Implement enterprise-grade OS-level security hardening remediations to eliminate vulnerabilities. Partner with security teams to address Nessus/Snyk scanning outputs, and integrate Access Control (RBAC) via LDAP, Active Directory, or Entra ID.

Secrets & Certificate Management Manage centralized enterprise secrets using HashiCorp Vault or CyberArk,



and oversee production SSL/TLS certificate renewal processes across containerized and monolithic environments.

Performance Tuning & Monitoring Monitor system health, analyze kernel/system logs to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and perform deep Linux kernel parameter tuning to support high-throughput microservices and relational databases (Oracle, Postgres).

Network & Load Balancing Participate in low-level and high-level network design (LLD/HLD), including TCP/IP routing, VLAN planning, and firewall/F5 load balancer configurations.

Production Operations & ITSM Maintain system stability under strict SLAs/SLOs. Handle production release operations by writing comprehensive technical Runbooks, raising Change Requests (CRs), and steering them through the Change Advisory Board (CAB) utilizing ITSM workflows.
