Your Role

As an Armoured Vehicle Crew member, you’ll drive, maintain and command high-tech military vehicles to take part in surveillance, offensive, defensive and security operations. You’ll work closely with your team to locate, identify, and destroy the enemy using firepower. You’ll get to use high-tech communication equipment and anti-armour weapons.

Common Duties

- Drive and take care of high-tech military vehicles including the Abrams Main Battle tank, keeping them battlefield-ready.
- Locating, identifying and destroying or capturing the enemy using fire and manoeuvre
- Operating advanced surveillance and reconnaissance equipment
- Maintaining radio, communications and weapon systems
- Provide mobility, communications, endurance, and firepower

Competitive Salary + Generous Superannuation of 16.4% Starting salary while training: $60,517 per year

Salary after completing training: $86,453 per year

Your salary will continue to increase based on your rank and years of service.

Location

Once you have completed your training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. Most of these positions are in North QLD, South QLD, VIC and the NT.

Eligibility For this role, you must:

- Be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Maths
