This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service from the very beginning, helping establish a strong team culture, support high-quality practice, and create an exceptional environment for children, families and educators.
About the Role Working closely with the Centre Manager, the Assistant Centre Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of the service.
You will support the Centre Manager with team leadership, compliance, family engagement, staffing, enrolments and the ongoing development of a positive and high-performing centre culture.
This role is ideal for an experienced Room Leader, Educational Leader, 2IC or Assistant Centre Manager who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Manager with the day-to-day operation of the centre
- Lead, mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality education and care
- Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and relevant regulations
- Assist with rostering, staffing and daily operational requirements
- Build strong and positive relationships with children, families and the local community
- Support enrolments, centre tours and occupancy growth
- Assist with educator performance, development and ongoing coaching
- Promote a strong culture of child safety and professional accountability
- Support the implementation of AMIGA Montessori's philosophy, policies and procedures
- Step into the Centre Manager role when required
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher qualification
- Previous leadership experience within an Early Childhood Education and Care environment
- Experience as a Room Leader, Educational Leader, 2IC, Assistant Centre Manager or similar leadership position
- Solid knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standards and relevant legislation
- A strong understanding of child safety and your responsibilities as a leader
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence supporting, mentoring and providing feedback to educators
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A positive, professional and collaborative leadership style
