Overview:

A specialist advisory and investment firm in Sydney is hiring an Associate to help accelerate the energy transition. You will work across strategy consulting, equity investment and industrial decarbonisation projects.

The firm suits people who enjoy high impact, hands on energy sector work. It draws on top tier consulting and banking pedigree.

Responsibilities:

- Support engagements across energy transition strategy, decarbonisation and industrial sustainability
- Build financial models and investment cases for energy, resources and clean energy opportunities
- Conduct due diligence on potential equity investments and portfolio opportunities
- Support portfolio companies and management teams on strategic and operational initiatives
- Develop investment memoranda, client presentations and board materials
- Assess emerging clean energy and decarbonisation technologies for commercial viability
- Liaise directly with clients,



investee companies and industry stakeholders

Required Experience:

- Background in strategy consulting, investment banking or a specialist energy and resources advisory firm
- Experience at a top tier consulting or banking firm highly regarded
- Track record in financial modelling, valuation or investment analysis
- Exposure to energy, resources, industrial or clean energy sectors
- Solid analytical and client facing skills gained in a professional services environment
- Around two to four years relevant experience

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, commerce, finance or a related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in business, finance or sustainability highly regarded
- CFA or similar professional qualification an advantage
