Auto Electrician / Electrical Fitter – Specialised Vehicle Builds

Northpoint Toyota is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Auto Electrician / Electrical Fitter to join our Specialised Vehicle Builds team atDry Creek.

This is a hands-on role working with new vehicles and specialised vehicle fit outs, where no two jobs are necessarily the same. You’ll be responsible for installing and integrating a range of electrical accessories and systems, ensuring every vehicle is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard.

Depending on the vehicle and build, your work may include the installation of:

- Light bars and auxiliary lighting
- Electric braking systems
- Dual battery systems
- UHF radios and communication equipment
- Fridge and auxiliary power wiring
- Battery isolators
- In-vehicle monitoring systems
- Anderson plugs and power connections
- Toyota Genuine electrical accessories
- A range of other electrical equipment associated with specialised vehicle builds

You’ll work as part of a skilled and collaborative team, completing electrical installations across a variety of specialised vehicle builds. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Completing assigned vehicle jobs safely, accurately and within required timeframes
- Installing, wiring and testing a range of automotive electrical components
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues where required
- Following wiring diagrams, installation instructions and manufacturer specifications
- Ensuring all work meets Northpoint’s quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Working collaboratively with the wider specialised vehicle builds team
- Meeting agreed productivity and quality expectations
- Following all workplace health and safety requirements and using the correct PPE





What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who is confident and capable with automotive electrical systems and takes pride in producing quality work.

You’ll ideally have

- Previous experience in automotive electrical work, vehicle accessory installation, or a similar field
- Strong practical knowledge of 12V automotive electrical systems
- The ability to confidently install, wire, test and troubleshoot electrical accessories
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, can-do approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- Good time management and the ability to work to deadlines
- A valid driver’s licence, with manual driving experience essential

A Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology is highly regarded, but it is not essential. If you don’t hold a formal qualification but have strong hands-on experience and can demonstrate that you’re genuinely proficient in automotive electrics, we’d still love to hear from you. Why Northpoint?
