Our wholesale factory outlet in Bassendean has a position available for an experienced Shop Assistant/Barista. We are looking for someone who is hardworking and reliable to join our friendly team

This is a casual position with consistent hours for the right person

Cakes West is comprised of 3 trading bakeries namely Cookies and More, Danish Patisserie and Cake Box

About the role

- Customer service, operate POS system, processing customer orders for pick-up/delivery
- Preparation of fresh sandwiches, rolls, wraps and bakery goods
- Over the counter service, serving ready to eat meals and making coffees
- General cleaning, stocking fridges and other duties within the scope of the position
- Ensure cleanliness and maintaining compliance with food safety standards
- Approximately 30 hours per week across the following shifts Mon-Fri Morning Shift - 6:00am to 1:00pm





Mon-Fri Afternoon Shift - 9:30am to 4:15pm

Saturday morning - 6:15am to 1:15pm

About you

- Have at least 2 years' experience in a kitchen, sandwich-making, food preparation or similar role
- Available for early morning openings and afternoon closing shifts (Saturday mornings)
- Proven hands-on coffee making experience, robust cashier and food handling experience
- Confidence in multitasking, serving customers, food preparation, making coffees, operation of till
- Food Safety Certificate
